ONLINE ORDERS

  1. Although this website contains details of well over 3000 books it is only a small part of our stock of new and scarce books.
  2. Items can be browsed in various categories or alphabetically by author or title and searchable by keyword. To browse or search, use the Search Catalogue link.
  3. Orders can be placed online using the Add to shopping basket buttons on the details pages of items listed in the results of a catalogue search. The catalogue search details include the price of the item (in Pounds Sterling). Some items may be on a limited time Special Offer, in which case the search details will show the offer price. When an item is added to the shopping basket it will be added at the price shown and the appropriate handling and shipping cost for your location will be calculated and detailed in the basket.
  4. Online orders in the shopping basket are handled through the PayPal secure transaction processing system and can be paid using Mastercard or Visa credit cards or a PayPal account.
  5. The Maghreb Review and The Maghreb Bookshop takes no responsibility for any errors between the customer and PayPal transaction transfers, but please inform us immediately of any problems which may arise.

    6. SPECIAL CUSTOMER SELECTION ORDERS

  6. If you do not wish to place your order online, you can send an enquiry to us for items that you require. If you have found them in a search of our catalogue, please include the details as shown in the catalogue (including the Catalogue No). In the case of most scarce titles, single copies only are available. They are therefore offered subject to availability at the time of firm order. Please send an initial enquiry before placing a firm order.
  7. This site contains only a small part of our stock of new and scarce books. If you are looking for items that are not listed in our catalogue, please feel free to send us an enquiry in case we do in fact have the items you require.
  8. ENQUIRIES: Enquiries should be emailed to . Please be sure to identify where you will require the items to be delivered. If we have the items you require we will confirm the price and the handling and shipping cost to your destination address, and await a firm order.

We are normally open from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm but since we regularly attend international conferences, we would advise that customers telephone or email first. Books are dispatched, on receipt of the order and payment, via Parcel Post or Parcel Force International to the address specified in the order and we will send proof of Shipment to customer.
    The Maghreb Bookshop assumes no responsibility for non-delivery, but any non-receipt should be notified within three (3) weeks of posting, so that the postal authorities can be informed.
     
    
DAMAGE IN TRANSIT: Our books are securely packed and Notification should be given on receipt of any book received in a damaged condition for reference to the postal authorities. Carriage and Insurance is obligatory and is additional to the price quoted.
     
    CANCELLATION: We can only accept cancellation of an order if notice of cancellation reaches us before we send out books ordered.
     
    
MINIMUM ORDER: Please note that we can only process orders for a minimum of £30.00.

     
    POSTAGE: Handling and shipping costs are dependent on the weight and dimensions of the items ordered and the destination address. When you send an enquiry the handling and shipping costs will be calculated and communicated with you. Please ensure that you include them in your order.

    BANK CHARGE: ALL Bank transfer charges from Overseas and from the United Kingdom must be paid by the sender.

    IMPORTANT If you pay into our Bank account, please send proof of payment, and mailing address so we can amend our records (without this, we would not be able to know who has paid).
     
    If customers confirm by email or phone that their payment is on the way to us, books will be kept for up to 10 days.

  11. Firm orders from Institutional subscribers to The Maghreb Review, National, Universities, and Governmental Libraries who are known to us not to be slow payers will be supplied with an invoice for payment on receipt of the books.

    When ordering books from The Maghreb Bookshop for delivery outside of the United Kingdom, you may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied once the package reaches your country. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, please note that when ordering from The Maghreb Bookshop, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.
     
    Generally, customs forms for international packages will list the value of the contents of your order by product type. For instance, orders will generally be listed in a way similar to the following example:

    Please note that: if you do not collect your order from your local Post Office Customs, books will be returned and will be re-send in the same conditions received by us and only when we are reimbursed.
     
    Your privacy is important to us and we know that you care about how information about your order is used and shared. We would like our international customers and customers dispatching products internationally to be aware that cross-border deliveries are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.
     
    Also, we may provide certain order, delivery and product information, such as titles, to our international carriers and such information may be communicated by the carriers to customs authorities in order to facilitate customs clearance and comply with local laws.
